The poster I found was more of a Andy Warhol version of it. It kept the old fashion look by using black and white as the color scheme, but made it more contemporary by adding paint splatters in the background.
I'm really enjoying my new poster, but as I was searching the web for other versions of V-J Day in Time Square, I found one I like a lot better.
This graffiti art was found on the walls of New York City. The colors are bright and vibrant. They bring the focal point back to the couple with shading and a white glow behind them. It amazes me how you can start with a simple photograph and turn it into a beautiful piece of artwork as well.
