After stressing over this project and having meltdowns with my lack of glue, everything came together. I decided to make my lantern out of the tubes revolving upward and then added an additional one going in the opposite direction. I'm pretty happy in how in turned out.

Additive Paper Folding
After coming up with a cool design, I realized I could attach the same pattern to another one just the same. This made an even bigger, and more complex formation of paper.

Paper Manipulations
After creating 50 different ways you can cut and fold a piece of paper, I came out with some very interesting compositions.
I had no idea that there were so many different ways you could fold paper. Different techniques became new techniques and by adding ideas together, I would come up with something totally different!
Album Artwork
I have been helping a friend create a background for his album. Here are some of the ideas i came up with:
Inspiration
So I was searching for some inspiration for my cover on my photo essay and I found a few images that I wanted to share!
It's really nice to be able to find inspiration so easily and quickly on the internet. I found these images particularly fascinating because of their use of color. Some of them use a large amount of different colors while others are just black and white and both are equally as effective.

Project Reflection
Looking back on the project, I wish I had been more creative. I took the easy way out on a lot of the designs in order to save time. For the compositions, I was fairly happy with my final five, but I wish I would have come up with more ideas that I liked as well as those five.
The letter models worked out great with our definition. The fact that they are
boxes and can be stacked on top of each other really pushed the first definition of support. The color choice helped with the second part of our definition. I wish we would have done many more locations, but I think that the pictures we do have turned out really great.
The photo book was my favorite part of the project. I loved the freedom to create it however we wanted. I really like my photo book and am pretty proud of it. The pop-up support box in the middle of my photo book was completely created by accident, but I think it added a lot to the concept of the book.
Overall this is my favorite project so far.
Photo Book
These were my preliminary models of my photobook, the final idea, an accordian fold, and a flag book.
These are the layout I designed to print in order to make the book.
And this is the final product. It has different meanings on either side, the middle bottom is a pop-up box that supports itself, and the middle top has pictures of our process of building the letters.
Reflection of Photography Essay
There are 8 different techniques in the Photo-Op essay that help improve your photograph.
Asymmetry and symmetry
Both of these are very effective. Symmetry is easy on the eye and makes a good composition, but asymmetry makes the viewer think.
Repetition
This makes the viewer question, “why is this here and how?” It draws attention and emphasis.
Framing
This is a way to draw attention to the main focus. It is most effectively done in a subtle manner, that does not distract from the focal point.
Close-up
This shows the complexity and detail of an object. By taking a close-up, you can see the beauty of the object in a deeper sense and not just the broader picture.
Continuous Mode
Taking a series of pictures, possibly in a circle; having fun with your camera.
Exploration
Take over 100 pictures of the same object from different angles and lighting.
Movement
By shaking a moving your camera, you can add a whole new feel to the image.
Serendipity
Have your camera with you at all times in case fate gives you a fantastic photo opportunity.
Site Locations for Cardboard Word
Because we had two meaning for our word, we wanted to make sure we captured both of these meaning throughout our pictures. Here are some of our location ideas that could be either definition.
